Bribe for a Lab Project!!

This is not one of your common bribery stories because it happened at the Physics Laboratory in my college. This is not something that I am proud of but then I cannot change the past now.
During a college semester, there are about 10 projects that you perform in the lab. Some of them were pretty difficult and some that can be done with ease. Towards the end of the semester, there is a lab exam where you are given a project on which you are assessed.
To get the project of their choice, they targetted the lab assistant and made a deal with him to get the project of their choice with money. I, as was afraid of the project I would get, too jumped on the bribery bandwagon and paid the lab assistant Rs. 100 to get the project of my choice.
However, I would soon discover that though he pocketed the money, I would get some other project which wasn't the one I paid for. Still, the project was an ok one and hence, I was safe. However, one of my friends who had paid him too wasn't that lucky. He got the toughest project and spent half the time trying to do the project and half the time cursing the lab assistant.
