Organised crime is rampant in Uttrakhand in registration of property. It is mandatory to shell out 2% of the declared cost of the property to the registration official, as a result even people with honest and clean income have to resort to part cash deals(read black) to reducing this illegal levy. I will soon be facing this problem as I have to get some property registered in my name. Kindly advise!
