I needed my marriage certificate. As per the guidelines. I gave all my details for them to publicize and do all the formalities. I asked the officer, when can I get it. A peon took me out and said if you need it you have to gove Rs. 3500 in cash. I asked 3500 ? he said it has to go from himself to typewriter and to the main officer sitting there. Otherwise its going to take time. I said i need it soon..he said ok go to the bank and give the money. And that's it...gave the money and it was a matter of a 15 min wait he have me the certificate.
