I have paid the price for consuming less electricity.The engineer who is changing meters from department after looking at my bills that showed less amount as compared to others accused me of electricity theft .A citizen who has less knowledge of these things often gets fleeced of money.On weekdays with no husband around they fool you and leave you with no option than to pay to avoid having bad report of your meter.The comman man is vulnerable and most amazing thing is they charge 6000 from almost every household on pretext of something or the other wrong with the meter.But sadly no one reports.Even though senior officials are told of this on phone there is no deterrence for such corrupt engineers.
