Its saddening to see the pathetic state of the DT office in Guwahati. If we go by the what happens there, the employees who are in the payroll refuses to work and harasses public for almost everything. My father went to the office for obtaining driving licence for my brother who just became 18. My brother already qualified for a learners license. But for issuing the final license my father had ti make trips to the office everyday. Initially he was asked to pay 500 "extra fee" so that the process is started. then after my brother had taken the test, he was asked to pay additional 3300, or else they said they would fail my brother and never grant him a license.
