Hi

I had applied passport re-issue under tatkal scheme in Dec 2010 and received it within a week. I was surprised that one constable came to my house for verification in March 2012 almost 15 months later. Then I was asked to submit docs in the local police station, HSR Layout Police station near Iblur bus stop, Sarjapur Signal Jn. One S.I asked me verification charges of Rs.500 and I was forced to pay it.
