While collecting the application for Khatha transfer the person in the revenue office asked me to give 5000/- while submitting the application so that he can provide me Khatha certificate with in a day or 2. And the reason he told for 5000/- is rich people are staying in that locality who can afford those amount. Since I already paid a bribe of 25000/- for property registration i decided not to pay a single penny this time . He informed me if I dont pay the amount it will take time . After a week some revenue officers visited my house for inspection. As I smelled these people are also going to ask some money I told them about the other 5000/- I will be paying .That made them okay and they returned. But I didnt turn up to the BMP office for next few weeks and was planning to inform lokayuktha. Before that as a last try I asked my brother to go and instructed him not to approach the same officer. He approached some other official in the same office with the application. The application was submitted since that officer asked him to pay 400/-. So Khatha transfer certificate was issued after couple of weeks by paying 400/- .
