I had to pay a bribe for my wifes passport application as he was blatantly and openly taking bribes from everyone. Also, he made us visit the police station 3 times under some pretext or the other.. first he asked us to get copies of the application, then he asked us to bring the reference to the station for checking, then he asked as to wait for over 2 hours. Even after that he was reluctant and when i pushed a Rs 500 note along with my application, his face lit up and all the problems disappeared. I am not the one to pay a bribe but this guy has the skin of a hippo. Please take action against the passport verification officer at nerul police station. Sector 27
