I was travelling to the nearest suburban railway station without a helmet. A traffic constable stopped me in my way and asked for the motor bike's papers. I was not carrying then with me and so I asked him to wait till I get the papers. He complied. After about an hour, I returned with all the necessary documents. He checked them and found each and every document valid. He then asked me to pay a fine of Rs 200. He said 100 for not wearing helmet and 100 for not carrying papers while riding the bike. I requested him to let me go as it was only a local area where I was riding my bike. He reduced his demand to Rs 100. I started counting 100 rupee notes when he said....no need to count them.....only 100 is enough and so I ended up paying 100 Rupees without a receipt.
The traffic officer's name was some 'Ghagar' attached to Kharghar traffic post which falls under Thane division.
