Bribe for passport verification

I filed my baby's passport and after 2 weeks a cop came for verification. he took all the details and signatures and seemed convinced with all the details. he then said everything is in place and we will recieve the passport within 45 days. i thought he will make a move but he stood with a smiling face near the door for which i had no expression.then my husband said give him Rs.200/- since his face reads he wants some money and i gave him the money. instead of taking the money(actually its a bribe) he said "do sow se nahi chalega poore ek hazaar dene honge" i was shocked listening to him. naturally its baby passport issue so no delay i had to give him the money he wanted!! and one more thing is i also paid a bribe to the post ********** who delivered the passport he took Rs.100/-(bribe) atleast not like the police!!!
