On July,2011,I applied for the passport in district passport cell in Dharmapuri Collector office. Ten days Later i got a call from police Station and was asked to report to there for verification regarding passport. I have brought address proof,Id proof and other supporting documents for verification. After completing the verification formalities i was asked bribe of Rs.200 not directly by verification officier but by his assistent. It is very regretful that some police officers are paid for not carrying out the duty but for getting the bribe from the public.some corrupt officers create bad name for the entire police department which has more honest police men
