I paid an amount of INR 25,000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousnad Rupees Only) for registering a flat purchased in Vijayawada. Registrar was very adament to reduce the bribe by even a paltry amount of INR 1,000. Astonishingly, he mentioned that it is standard and fixed rates as 10% of the stamp duty.
