Bribe to TTR for southern railways
I was heading back to Dubai after my 10 day holiday with my family from Kannur to Kozhikode by Chennai express, after getting on the train i realized that it was better if i get off the train at Feroke station which was one station after Kozhikode. so i approach the TTE in the coach in order to extend my trip and to pay the extra charge. just before arriving the feroke railway station, the TTE instead of issuing me a chelan or receipt of Rs. 85/- he charges me Rs. 50/- and puts that money in his pocket and tells me its ok to get down at the next stop. i was more surprised and did not understand what to do and left the train.
i dunno whether it is a bribe or cheating the government. but on the other hand these people actually do not have any other choice as they are not paid well with their salaries and the money that goes to the government are not reaching the public too.
i think its us who are to be blamed rather than the government alone... as an Indian we take our freedom for granted and are very ignorant of the good things in our country... its us whom we need to blame than just the government...
