Noida Captain Shashi kant Marg was closed for some underground digging work & the traffic has been diverted to Left side while coming from Noida City centre & going to Noida extension.
There was no sign board of directions neither no Traffic Police was present over there to direct the traffic suitably.
When we had taken a U Turn from mbarrigades & approcahed to the signal in wrong direction along with 2 other cars with myself, i had been stopped by POlice officer & rest of the two cars has went off.
Officer has asked for my papaers & after presenting the same he had asked me to pay the bribe of Rs 500/- or else threatned me to keep my documents & submit in RTO office witha challan, as my car was registered in dwarka RTO, in that case i have to go to Dwarka RTO for getting it released which might had required to take a leave from my office, which was not possible.
Then he had asked me the bribe of Rs 500/- saying that their are in total 4 officeres on duty there and the money has to be distributed in all of them. there were 2 RTO officers & 2 police officers present over there.
When i had checked the penalties today for wronmg side driving it was Rs 100/-, and i had been asked to pay Rs 1000/- and too for no fault of mine.
Wheereas the traffic was anyhoow moving on wrong side just 100 m ahead U Turn facility.
