I was with my friend in his car. In Chennai everyone crosses the road a few seconds after the red light comes on. This traffic official is helping a person cross the road, which I am sure was a ruse to stop the last few cars that were turning. He then stops my friends car. He tells him that my friend turned on a red light and that the camera has captured it. He asks if my friend wants to officially pay 600 Rs? Basically hinting that he is expecting a bribe. My friend says he only has 300 and gives him the 300. This cop lets him go.
