BRIBES PAID DURING THE COMPLETION OF A BULDING IN BANGALORE
My Aunt started building a 3 storied commercial bulding in 2009 & completed it in 2010.
During the entire process (planning to completion) of building at every stage bries were requested and the total bribe paid was around Rs.150000/-.
The highest being the corporation department for approval of floor plan. my aunt was asked to pay Rs.400000/- for the approval of plan for 3rd floor. One of her friend was a class mate of the private secretry of a minister and he called him to assist. next time when my aunt went to the corporation office one of the staff asked why she went up to the ministry level. he informed other staff there that she is the owner of the big building & she had contacted the ministers secretry.
finally they agreed to approve the paln for a bribe of 100000 (reduced from 400000).
next was the electricity board, they asked for 1 lac. for the meter since its a 3 storied building. also they claimed that
"A share from bribe has to go upto vidhansoudha".
Also various other bribes for "Road cutting" for water connection, "Fixing Tax" etc. were paid in total Rs.150000/-
some of my aunts friends said she was lucky she paid only that much.
