In bussiness from 1980. Hesitatingly paid bribes to almost all depts.
- Commercial Tax, Sales Tax, VAT

I visited the sight. Thank you very much for such noble cause. Since I am in business I had to pay bribes many times. Let me be frank, Though I was clear in all accounting and submission of papers, I was asked for money from Sales tax, Income tax, Central Excise Depts to clear the assessments. I fought with sales Tax in 1986-87 for not paying anything they held up my assessment for 10 years. It was only after my representation to chamber of commerce the case was taken up as “aggrieved" Party and was cleared in 2004-05. My business friends advise me not to confront think bribe as services.
Will it not be possible to turn your website in to a membership so that we can predominantly print our membership on letters to such department? They will come to know about impending trouble even if they ask the bribe.
Unless there is some sort of fear these people cannot stop this menace.
All legal advisers, CAs are touts for officers and work in tandem with them. They say they need to send the money to higher-ups ********** be true to get a plum post or promotion.
Right now my case of Vat assessment is going on. First thing the ST Officer did was to contact my Sales tax adviser on phone and ask him “How is party, will Pay?” After listening adviser’s answer he kept the file away. Trouble started again. In such cases if we have organizational support we can just mention and things will move fast without bribe.
