Caught with expired Vehicle Insurance

I was going to attend a seminar at BKC with my friend on his 2 wheeler, when we were stopped by Traffic Police. They asked for documents. We showed everything. While police was checking the docs, they found insurance is expired. With certain laws police asked us to pay Rs.900. We were not having that much money. The second option given by Police is to get the Insurance first, come to Kurla Police station and show the insurance and pay whatever the fine is. Till that time they will with held the Lic. Now both the options were such a pain that we were not able to accept. When we argued and told him about our problem then we got the final option of Rs.300 as bribe (as per police "Kharcha-Pani") and we were allowed to go. Finally we were on our way to Seminar at a cost of 300 to Traffic *******
