The "Business" of education is widespread in Tamilnadu. Those who need to get quality education need to pay hefty sum of money to get into a recognised colleges. The worst part is that this bug seems to have creeped up to the schools as well. Nowadays the top schools in Chennai demand 60,000 to 1 lakh rupees just for seat in 5th or 6th standard. The engineering colleges charge anywhere between 1,00,000 to 10,00,000 for an engineering seat. The medical colleges, where the demands are high are even worse. They charge between 15,00,000 to 35,00,000 for medical seat. Such is the worst situation of education in our country.
