I went to get a two wheeler that was towed when my wife parked in front of a building with no "No parking" sign. I presented the registration & insurance. He asked for PUC that was not there and the vehicle was in my sister-in-laws name. He said the fine is now double. So I paid the amount which he said was Rs 600. As I left the building the cop had made a receipt of only Rs 100!! Since most transactions are cash ones it was an impossible fight or prove the money paid,or to get the money back or get the receipt changed. Had to leave the place.
