Consequences for refusing Diwali mamool

We are part of a gated community. As member of the association, we refused to pay Diwali mamool as we were extended very poor service throughout the year. We faced frequent outage due to tripping and line faults.

As a consequence, around 60 connections have been disconnected in one swoop for 'delayed payments'. The counters will close early tomorrow, and anyone who is unable to pay on time by tomorrow will not have power at home during diwali. As many of the residents are unavailable and will be under duress on an occasion that should otherwise be celebrated, we have paid out Rs 3000 (To the AE, Wireman and Foremen).
