Last Year in 2009 our companys monthlky sales tax returns some mistakes happened by my accountant in stating the figures,in april 2010 while reconciltaion of all last year accounts we had found the mistakes of last year and tried to submitt the revised sales tax returns of the last years few months but sales tax office people refused to accept its stating that after 6 months they cannot accpet revised returns. Till Novemeber we tried to somehow convince them to accept it as we a effort from our side to correct the mistakes and we were ready to pay any penalty officialy applicable. Finally by bribing them for Rs.8000/- unwantedly, we had file the revised returns.
