I went to this office to get a Khata transfered but to my horror I had to spend almost a week running from pillar to post trying to get things done the right way. Finally I had to give in to the demands of the lady officer there and pay her 80k to get my work done. What was amazing is even the help there would not bring the right file from storage until he is paid Rs100 every time.It is really amazing how systematic this process has become and this was not the last time I had to pay. I spent almost Rs 200,000 in bribes withing 3 months I stayed there for some reason or the other.
