I am into the business of providng services for weighing machines & the most important part of my job is to get the machine certified by the Inspector of legal metrology and this is not possible without paying bribe to the Inspector howsoever correct I may be.No weighing appratus in india is certified (in the trade language it is called stamping)without paying bribes to the inspector. And people involved in this business are small timers like me who has to work very hard to make both ends ********** to the multi national companys whose turnover is in crores nobody is spared.You may be surprised to know that no & I repeat no weighing & measuring instrument is stamped without paying bribe & you may confirm it with any body who is involved in this business.
