It was in between jan or feb 2008. I had gone to the govt. hospital sonepur with a village frm my village with his 10 yrs old daughter. His daughter's arm had some bone fracture and it needed the plaster bandage as the doctor said. The villager arranged the money and i had bought the medicines and the other things require for the bandage, but when we arranged all things the doctor asked frequently for 500 rupees to provide good treatment and the free medicines frm the hospital, frst I was shocked but I couldn't do anything beacuse there was only one doctor there and we had to treatment the girl as soon as possible..so there was no other option then bargaining with the doctor beacuse the villager only 200 rupees left. So i started bargaining with the doctor and it was final as 200 rupees..We gave the doctor his money and after that he started treatment..this type of things happens regularly in the hospital..the rate is something lke this..for delivery:1500, for minor operations::1500, for free medicines::200 extra and so on..
