I am from Bihar originally.I had to go through a tough time in Patna District Court based in Patna, Bihar. After my mother passed away she left a will in her documents for the division of family property.This will required to be probated by the law court in Patna.In the meantime,some anti-social elements wanted to grab or sell our property illegaly in connivance with police and land registry department.Since I do not live In Bihar, I had decided to go through normal court process but the judiciary and the lawyers adopt a very slow approach in Bihar.It took nearly four years to complete a simple process.I was told by my lawyer that the judge will not pass the order because he wants bribe of one lakh rupees.I did not want to do this but since all of my mother's property was being destroyed I had no choice so very reluctantly I paid this bribe to the judge before he passed the final order in a very straight forward case of probate of my mother's will. I am ashamed of myself as well as of the system which has degenerated to such lower level.
