Off duty Havaldar asking for money

Reported on April 15, 2011 from Pune , Maharashtra  ι Report #9204

Me and my friend were travelling on a motorbike. We stopped at a signal. Taking a left is usually allowed on signals. But it was not allowed on this signal. So, unknowingly we took a left. One havaldar was going home. He was in his uniform. But he did not had any receipt booklet. He asked us to show license, PUC etc documents. We provided all of them, which he had asked. But since we overrun a signal, he asked us to pay Rs. 200 /-. That too without a receipt, withholding the keys of our bike and the license. After lot of arguments we gave him Rs. 50/- and got our keys and license back.
