In the end, he fooled me!
- Police
- Traffic Violations
- Paid INR 50
I forgot my pollution certificate at home (just that. I was even wearing a helmet). Traffic police stopped. I asked him to write a challan. He asked me how much I can pay. I insisted on a challan. (The challan amount for pollution certificate is Rs. 300/-.) He said he's leaving me now with a less strict warning of jumping a signal and asked me to carry the pollution certificate the next time. He wrote a challan of Rs. 100/-. Later, I saw that the actual challan amount for jumping the signal was only Rs. 50/-. So, in effect, I was fooled into paying a bribe of Rs. 50/-.
