Fear created to compel to pay bribe

Reported on November 22, 2010 from Deoghar , Jharkhand  ι Report #29797

My Son was selected at the post of P.O. in Indian overseas Bank. In due course, one certificate, which was submitted by my son to the said bank at the time of his joining, was to be verified by that office level. We were unknown that issuing number & ********** is to be given by the office on the said certificate. And also, the said office did not quote the issuing number and ********** on the certificate. Although, the ********** was mentioned under the signature of the authority of the office. However, One day a clerk of that office came my home and directly said that the said certificate is fraud. "Your son will be terminated from his service and legal action against his will go ahead. You ********** go jail in the case of 420...........and so many things like this.

On my request to do some this favourable to this matter, he told me that "some money to be paid to me as well as for my 'sahab' then I can do some thing in this regard and he also told me that 'sahab' will not take such money directly."

I request him to ********** next day in his office. Next day, I went his office, he saw me and treated very badly. I tried to ********** with his 'sahab' but he was not present. About 20 days passed but he do not sent the said verification. My son, in this meanwhile, repeatedly requested me do request to get verified and sent the said certificate. Sir, I belong to a poor family and working in a private concern.

Looking no way, I given him 500/-. then after he sent the said said certificate duly verified.

Sir, we are sorry......
