For other state two wheeler Traffic police took bribe of 500, instead of giving penalty receipt

Reported on February 13, 2017 from Pune , Maharashtra  ι Report #152190

12-Feb-2017 5:30pm, I was riding my bike (Karnataka registration) from Amanora Mall, Pune. As I was standing in Amanora traffic signal, a traffic police person stopped me and asked the MH state tax payment receipt/certification. I did not have that state tax receipt, so I asked him to put the fine on my vehicle and give me the receipt. He told me that this penalty can not be given onstop, it will be done in court and traffic police station where i have to pay appear and pay state tax.
I asked him 3-4 times to issue me the receipt, but he was persistent that this penalty can not be processed like that. Since that time i was carrying heavy bag with me and only 500rs note in my wallet. I had no other choice to give him all money i had and allowed to take my bike.
Traffic police gave me misleading information to make me fear that if i don't pay him the month, i will be in big problem.
