Ghushkhori and seenajori at railway stations

Reported on December 23, 2010 from Ludhiana , Punjab  ι Report #29090

I m a small level trader and deal in garments. I don't have any TIN number as I don't have taxable income. I purchase woolen from Ludhiana market and sell it in my hometown. From Ludhiana I take it to my home town via train. As we never get any bills for our purchase, on the station we have to always pay a bribe of rs. 300 to 500 to the station master, guard, T.c., RPF personnel, loading boys for the booking of the luggage. the story doesn't end here. After reaching the hometown station for getting the material we have to pay rs 50 to the station master and rs 30 to the loading boys. Even after paying this much they dont treat us well. We can not complain to anyone because if we will do so, we will have to get the bill and pay the tax which we cant afford. we know this is wrong but its our majburi.
