Green.... The color of money
I own a manufacturing industry. Now, most of the pollution control devices that we have are as per 'Indian standards' -meaning- working, but not necessarily correctly. But, definitely we are either at par or better than the I dustries nearby.
We get a letter from Mumbai, that they are going to shut down our company for not falling in the norms. We run helter skelter, spend around 75000 rs, and avoid disconnection of power supplies.
After that, for the license renewal we had to pay another 50,000rs. Even when now everything is in place.
This is a similar story of at eat 5 other companies I know, some had to shell out as ugh as 5 lacs.
