The passport is a document where the President recognises you as a citizen of the country... So paying a bribe here is like having to pay a bribe just because I was born in this country.
I had to pay a bribe twice. Once to the policeman who came for verification to the house from the chowki and then to the guy who sits for document verification at the main police station.
There is zilch integrity in the process... any terrorist can get a passport easily. No need to even make a fake one.
