I own a agricultural land in the outskirts of bangalore. I applied for a new khata to replace the existing khata based on a thahsildar order. The application was submitted in revenue department, bangalore south. The application was processed by a case worker called Anusuya in bangalore south division of the revenue department. She harassed me very badly. She used to hide the file and pretend as if she is not aware of the file. I had to come to her office several times over a period of 6 months to locate the file and move the file from her to another person. She did not demand bribe but harassed me. She shouted at me several times, but I was patient. She has one person around her who organizes her files and they are not government officials. He has easy access to her office lockers and they collect the bribes on her behalf. I learnt the modus operandi after many visits. She makes the people run around and make them pay to her agent. I paid her through the agent rs 2500 to check if that works. But she delayed to send the file to the next person by 2 weeks. Now that she has sent to the next person she has told the next person in her office to delay as she is not satisfied with what i gave her. Now the next person though is better than her, they are similar. In every desk there are agents who collect the bribes. Lokayukta is not acting on these activities. Every government office story is the same.
