It was the year of a very bad plague in Surat 1994. ( I am not able to select that year). One of the city constables got into my auto and said i have to go for a medical test because I was arriving from Bombay, Then he made me open my suitcase, saw three new pairs of shoes in it. He took one pair and got down the auto. This was supposed to mean to let me go, that now I need not go for a medical test with him to the police station.
