I got married in Aug 2005 and went for marriage registration to get the certificate asap as i had to leave overseas soon. Just because i was a software engineer, in spite of having all the valid documentation, the registration officer, without any shame shows his hands for money. When rejected, says u r a software engineer working in chennai, can't u afford Rs 500?? I told no, and finally because he was too adamant, had to payout Rs 200 after my parents n in-laws asked me to. *******
