I would like to share one fact with you. I am talking Municipal Corporation's property tax department. Here Property Tax inspectors makes mistakes intentionaly in a way that your property tax will increase, ( increase the carpet area, assessing shops as office, etc.)So that you have to approach them to make correction. It is not impossible get your tax bill corrected without giving bribe. No matter you give all documents.
Another one thing is that Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation charges property tax in two different ways..
One is on self Property ( this is for the property which is used by its owner) another way is of tenant based ( this is for the property which is rented) For tenant based property tax is double than of self. I don't understand that when one is paying income tax than why should one pay extra tax for rented property. Corporation dose not have to provide any extra facility to tenants.
