I wanted to get a new international drivers permit. I was carrying all my docs. The way things work in this RTO is you carry your documents from one window to the other, taking the officer's signature on the way. I ended up in one office, which was the final step in getting the IDP. The officer started debating about how to spell and pronounce my last name and refused to sign.
I went out and came with an agent. The same officer just took my papers from me and signed them. No questions asked.
Maybe because he knew his share of the bribe was coming...
