I applied for passport in march 2014. after attending the passport seva kendra in coimbatore,on a day i received a phone call from the police station i had specified for my area. a male police officer spoke to me asking me to come to the station the next day. my dad and i went to the station the next day. we waited for a while, a female officer exclusively for passport verification came to us and i was asked to sign and verify a few forms. and before leaving she claimed that she charged Rs.300 for every passport verification. as we had to get passport we paid to her and left for home.
