I had to pay bribe

I was final year Engineering student at COEP in 2009.
In order to get my passport at that time I paid a bribe of Rs.100/- to the police inspector in order to get my background check cleared though there was no problem with my documents.
The inspector asked me the money in terms of "FEES" !
I really feel shameful for doing that :(.
