I had to pay a Bribe towards filing for a duplicate PAN Card

I had to pay a bribe of 700 rupees towards processing the application for a duplicate PAN card at the TIN NSDL facilitation Centre at Lal Bagh. The officer, Mr. Venkatesh, asked the same towards "Verification Facilitation fees" , when I approached him on Monday , 8th August at 12 pm approximately at this office. I did not have a previous idea about the reapplication process, so I ended up paying it. When I spoke about this incident to a friend, he said he had a similar case, and that fee was not a mandatory charge. Will be glad if some action is taken towards this officer.
