I applied for a renewal of my wife's passport in the month of February. I got the clearance from the passport office, after checking the required original documents of ID and address proof. However the passport is still pending for police verification. When spoke to the police of passport verification department they kept on saying that someone will come by next week, and still no verification is done. Its become quite a harassment now. Moreover they are asking for extra documents apart from what the passport department had sufficed, insisting me to get multiple address proof, inspite of me having the AADHAR card. What should I do??
