I am A.**********, passed my Bsc degree in 2008 July from Bangalore university, and immediately I applied for issue of degree certificate. My degree certificate was ready after almost 2 years but when i went to office to collect it , clerk shows me my certificate and whispered saying "you have to pay me something", since i needed my certificate badly because of which i wasted my one academic year and could not join anywhere so i agreed with him and asked him how much?? 200 he said !
I was not having 200 rupees change, i told sir, "i dont have 200 change", he said "i will give you change". I gave him 500 hoping that i will get 300 return. I got my certificate but guess what??? He did not returned my 300 rupees too..saying that "it took lots of effort to make your certificate ready, now you are graduate and got your degree certificate , you should treat me" I was so confused and shocked He asked me 200 and i was agree now when he saw 500rs note, he was not in mood to return. I requested him a lot than he returned just 100 rupees to me..
I would like to add one important point here because i see written above this form ,"Please do NOT report names. We aim to change processes not target individuals" . In Bangalore university thousand of students are stuck who have passed long back and not getting their documents, which is their own right, they have studied years for those degrees but when it comes officially, it becomes a business. rate is fixed 1000-1500 for marks card, 500 for migration and many more, every day i have found 20-30 people in one section roaming with their problems.
I will post one more story of mine related to Bangalore univerity
