I submitted my application for a loan from my EPF account (Eligibility was 6 years of service, which I completed). But first my company account asked me to give Rs. 4000 to an agent, which I denied and then l contacted directly to the EPF office where one clerk has asked Rs. 4000 to pass my application and said as I was not eligible, I need to pay him that amount (the most annoying thing is that my approved loan amount is 20K and of which 4k he is asking !!). I approached CBI and they made a trap and caught the culprit while I was giving him the bribe. Later on he was trailed in the court and he was sentenced for four years of imprisonment. The most funny part of this incident is that the trap amount which CBI had used was my cash (Rs. 1800/-), till now I have not received it from the CBI. My wife every now and then tells me that you should not have gone to CBI as you not only lost Rs. 1800 but also you have to go through a lot of hardships (namely court trails, the accused's threatening both to me and to my parents etc). Which made me think do I really need to oppose who bribe or should I give them bribe and do my things easily! Thanks to our system to made me think like this !
