I paid bribe of Rs 200 for passport verification done by police at my residence

I ended up paying Rs 200 as bribe to police constable who had come to verify my address and was further told that if I don't pay the bribe my police verification would get delayed and further I will face problems getting my passport renewed. Initially I was hesitant paying the bribe but then I had to give in to the constable's demand given the fact the process will get delayed further.
I do regret my actions but was a bit concerned incase if the process gets delayed and this would result in making trips back to Regional Passport Office, Secunderabad losing on time and money both.
