I was going to a sweet stall which is at after two streets from my house in anna nagar, chennai.. Suddenly a police constable stopped me to show the documents.. I just told i am next street resident and i am about to go to shop. Then he did not believe and said that next street people also stealing the vehicle.. Then i said okay and i was taking out my documents from vehicle.. then he was taking a look at my vehicle and searching for a reason. then he found number format is not as per standard..and asked me to show my license, RC book, insurance.. I showed everything.. Then he said whose vehicle is this. I said it is of my brother's vehicle.. then He said number on plate is not a standard one and you got to pay Rs.150 fine for that.. Then I requested him to leave this time and i will change the format ASAP. he did not leave me.. then he took my vehicle . I said couple of sorry and holding my vehicle.. then he said if you do not leave the vehicle, i will damage you in presence of all.. I got afraid and angry as he was not speaking friendly.. he is not traffic police. he is general police. I said i do not have money with me now. i have 10 or 15 rupees only. he said what will i do with that 10 rupees. Keep your bike here or give your mobile phone and then go home and bring. i requested him to leave me for 5 minutes.. then he said not to increase his temper.. then i said i will go home and bring but keep the bike and give me my bike key at least. he asked me that you do not believe me. then i said you did not believe me and thought me as a vehicle thief. then how can i believe you that you do not take the bike to station. then i said i will call my dad and ask him to bring. for that he said okay and ask.. he was torturing me like a hell.. just to pay bribe. i had to call my dad and said he is asking fine.. then dad sent my cousin. and my cousin came and said that he is my brother only and he gave 100 rupees to the police as bribe.. without any hesitation he accepted and did not give any bill for fine.. I got angry as he did not give the bill. then he is saying to my cousin that fortunately you came and gave 100 rupees or else i would have taken the bike to police station. i was holding my anger and thought to leave first from that place.... Just for 100 rupees bribe , he said he will damage me, asked me to bring money from home or to ask my home to bring here, he was not giving my bike and playing with me for 10 minutes... that too my next street police.. i could not bare that day.. unfortunately i had to go out of tamil nadu for the next day.. today only i came back to chennai and thought of taking the photo of police and complaining it to press. then got idea to complain through online.. when i browsed i saw ipaidabribe.com
Please take necessary action against the police.. it happened on Sep 20 , 2013 evening around 5.30. i do not know his name. but i can identify him easily..
