I was a fresh MBBS graduate having just finished my internship. We were forced to do 1 year compulsory rural service to be eligible for post-graduate (MD/MS ******* ) admissions after passing MH-PGCET (Maharashtra Entrance).
DDHS (Deputy Director Health Services) Nagpur directed us to Gadchiroli saying that there are no vacancies (Medical Officer) in any other district of Vidarbha.
When we went to Gadchiroli, the DHO (District Health Officer) Dr. BANSOD told us that there are no vacant posts in Gadchiroli. As we wanted to get eligible for MD/MS we were desperate to complete one year Rural service, so as not to waste valuable one year.
Dr.Bansod called us at his official residence, DHO Quarters at Gadchiroli and I paid him Rs.10,000. He gave me my posting orders next morning.
Today, 12 years later, I am a private practitioner at Nagpur and called at social functions where I bump into Dr.Bansod. Now, Dr. Bansod is a retired insignificant person who just hangs around at social/medical events. I want to remind him that he has taken my 10,000 Rs. and tell everyone around that he is a corrupt man. Probably everyone is aware about his corrupt ways too.
I feel ashamed of myself why I borrowed Rs.10,000/- of hard earned money from my sister and gave that money to that leech Dr. *******
