Even if I dont do any wrong in my business, I have to get tax forms and way bills and for that I have to have assessments done by the corrupt officers.
The rate is fixed as Rs. 10,000/- Dy Commissioner, 2000/- his clerk and 1000/- the peon and the practicing lawyer takes 5000/- per year . This is to be given to have smooth assessments.
I was not paying it, so for last 5 years my file is pending either with first appeal or with higher appeals. There too, if I dont pay, I have to pay heavy penalty. With all my efforts I could not get rid of this corruption, so finally I decided to buy peace.
