I mistakenly had my car on cycle rickshaw track.mistook it as a slip road towards chandni chowk/redfort road ,there was substandard road sign hanging on tree ,showing it as a cycle rickshaw track..
when i tried to get in correct lane after noticing, policemen didnt allowed me to do , and asked for license ,and bragged about hefty chaalan amount for this petty mistake.
i came to delhi from another state so he told me that you will get Court Challan( means i have to again come back delhi to pay for challan and get my license back ) Police use this practice to stress the people and make them pay bribe quickly to avoid all this govt. outdated challan system.
I told that I didnt want any challan, and asked that he may let me go by giving warning as it was not a big violation.He didnt agreed to me , and told me to do that i want challan or another option , i gave him 100rs and he said no, its not sufficient, so i had to give him 100rs more. and he finally let me go. !
