Judge asks for 30000 to approve divorce

We had to give 30000 rupees to the judge to approve a divorce case which was anyway not a contested divorce (both parties agreed to the divorce)
But with the complications thrown in by the mandatory court appointed counseller, the judge demanded 30000 to settle the open and shut case. We had to pay. It was arranged through the judge's driver
